Jan-Marie is amazing! This has to be the best money I’ve spent during my build! I opted for the 2 hour consult as I had a good idea of what I was after but was struggling with bringing it all together and committing to colours. Jan-Marie exceeded my expectations and I walked out of our meeting with 99% of the colours, finishes and style decided on. She was truly amazing, I’d recommend her to anyone. We have just finished our second project with Jan-Marie. She transformed our dark kitchen into the most beautiful light workspace and has designed an amazing spare room refit and worked within our budget on both projects. We were living in Canberra when our kitchen was being built and it all worked very well remotely, it’s very exciting to be back in Darwin and living in our beautiful space. JM is very intuitive, she has the gift of listening and the wisdom of knowing just what you want …even if you think you are not sure yet. She gets you and she just nails it ! All her team are amazing and professional and the cabinetry is top quality work. Every design is unique … I really love that. I highly recommend JM and am already thinking about project number 3.

I cannot recommend Jan-Marie highly enough. When we purchased our new house we knew it had great bones but we didn’t have the time to create what we needed, a sanctuary. So after waiting a year, I went in search of help and found Jan-Marie from JM Interior Design Studio. Jan-Marie oversaw the renovation of the Kitchen and living areas, and she sourced all the furniture. Her expertise and practical knowledge of the process was invaluable, right down to small details so it all worked beautifully together, including installing feature lighting that we love. Jan-Marie made the whole process easy.

25 years ago I bought my first place and loved it. OK...very 1981, but had "good bones". Definitely needed a new kitchen at some stage. Fast track to 2023, still happily here. Despite a few improvements along the way, still 1981. Its time. Some kitchen cabinet drawers and doors are missing, only one hotplate working on the stovetop. That laundry wall needs to go. If only those floors matched throughout the house. The wishlist has expanded to a bigger job than a kitchen refit and I'm out of my depth. JM came recommended through friends. She came to my home, we walked and talked, she spent time, listened, observed, offered thoughts and ideas, noticed the big and small things, and saw the potential. I felt that she saw and heard me. A short time later, JM presented a concept design that I loved, and then she gathered her crew around and to build that out to a full plan. It's no small exercise planning a home renovation. There's an awful lot to think about, and it can be daunting. Having JM on board took away most of the pain. Her design was beautiful and practical, and her recommendations eased the decision making enormously. The large majority of the design and product selections were exactly on point, and it was a no brainer just say yes. There were some things where I wasn't sure of, needed a tweak, or I preferred something different. JM worked with me until it was all agreed. Then, I moved out of my house and left them to it, coming home a few months later to a completed project. JMs crew was great, personable, professional and they delivered. Very happy with the quality of the work, and any small matters are being dealt with promptly and with no issue. My Neighbours weren't at all inconvenienced either which was terrific. The experience overall was great, and the end result is nothing short of fabulous. And just as fabulous is Jan Marie.
