She transformed our dark kitchen into the most beautiful light workspace and has designed an amazing spare room refit and worked within our budget on both projects. We were living in Canberra when our kitchen was being built and it all worked very well remotely, it’s very exciting to be back in Darwin and living in our beautiful space. JM is very intuitive, she has the gift of listening and the wisdom of knowing just what you want …even if you think you are not sure yet. She gets you and she just nails it ! All her team are amazing and professional and the cabinetry is top quality work. Every design is unique … I really love that. I highly recommend JM and am already thinking about project number 3.

25 years ago I bought my first place and loved it. OK...very 1981, but had "good bones". Definitely needed a new kitchen at some stage. Fast track to 2023, still happily here. Despite a few improvements along the way, still 1981. Its time. Some kitchen cabinet drawers and doors are missing, only one hotplate working on the stovetop. That laundry wall needs to go. If only those floors matched throughout the house. The wishlist has expanded to a bigger job than a kitchen refit and I'm out of my depth.

JM came recommended through friends. She came to my home, we walked and talked, she spent time, listened, observed, offered thoughts and ideas, noticed the big and small things, and saw the potential. I felt that she saw and heard me. A short time later, JM presented a concept design that I loved, and then she gathered her crew around and to build that out to a full plan.

It's no small exercise planning a home renovation. There's an awful lot to think about, and it can be daunting. Having JM on board took away most of the pain. Her design was beautiful and practical, and her recommendations eased the decision making enormously. The large majority of the design and product selections were exactly on point, and it was a no brainer just say yes. There were some things where I wasn't sure of, needed a tweak, or I preferred something different. JM worked with me until it was all agreed. Then, I moved out of my house and left them to it, coming home a few months later to a completed project.

JMs crew was great, personable, professional and they delivered. Very happy with the quality of the work, and any small matters are being dealt with promptly and with no issue. My Neighbours weren't at all inconvenienced either which was terrific.

The experience overall was great, and the end result is nothing short of fabulous. And just as fabulous is Jan Marie. 🙂

Renovation of Tropical Territory House

My husband and I purchased a townhouse in Bayview, a suburb of Darwin because it offered beautiful views of the lock and a leisurely, low maintenance living. The house was full of character though it needed a special touch to combine its best features with modern living. It was not a coincidence that we engaged Jan-Marie to realise this vision; her extensive experience both here in Australia and overseas combined with her highly professional approach, filled us with confidence. Jan-Marie consulted us at every stage of the project which meant that we ended up not only with the house which looked amazing but also was very practical, and catered for our needs. We lived in many different houses over the years, and found that for the first time, this house is now designed around us, and not the other way round. The quality of the work, finishings and furniture were meticulously scrutinised by Jan-Marie to ensure perfection. We love our house, it is coastal living at its best. 2021 new home owner

I engaged JM for Interior Design Services. We wanted to personalise my 3 bedroom apartment by adding furnishings such as wall art and new furnishings. During initial consultation, JM advised me to consider updating the kitchen and giving the apartment a refresh with paint to add value to my apartment more than a lot of new furnishings. From there started the project and now our apartment looks incredible and thats not only to myself and my wife, all our guests and friends are very impressed. JM with her trained eye advised my to scale down on my existing furniture to better fit into the space. She sourced all the furniture, lighting, dining set, greenery and rugs. She delivered contemporary fresh paint colours for the walls which I love. She also ensured all works carried out were of quality and project managed the trades involved. The high light of our apartment is the unique 5 metre custom wallpaper feature that she sourced for us. Apartment Renovation Makeover

I interviewed then contracted JM Interior Design Studio to renovate and update my apartment. We discussed the general theme that I was hoping to achieve, including the overall style and decoration colours. The renovation included the modernisation of the kitchen, living room, laundry, bathroom ensuite and all bedrooms. Jm then developed a plan for the renovation including the purchase of new furniture, organised all the trades set the project timetable and managed the whole project, which was completed on time and in budget. JM's professionalism and experience showed through on all aspects of the renovation, ensuring that my original concept was developed to a level far in excess that I could have envisioned. High Rise Apartment Turnkey Renovation

We embarked on a major house renovation in mid 2021, right from the start Jan-Marie worked with us and pushed our sense of interior design in all facets of the reno.
